In ancient times mysterious artifacts, referred to as Remnants, were discovered all over the world. Existing in forms as diverse as gems, beasts and even weapons, they were so numerous and their power so great that the civilizations of the world sprang up around them. But as people diverted the power of these objects for their ends they eventually caused a rift in the world's balance. Now, thousands of years later that balance must be corrected, and the story of The Last Remnant begins.
